Harvesting Shark Fins
I don't love sharks, but harvesting their fins for soup and dumping their bleeding dying bodies back into the water is barbaric. We should not damage the balance in the world's ecosystems so that we can enjoy shark fin soup. Texas should ban the sale of shark fins in our state. You may wonder -- is this really an issue? My opponent blocked the ban on selling shark fins because she cares more about special interest money than doing what's right.
